The launch of the new national Artificial Intelligence and High-Performance Computing infrastructures, in combination with the AI Factory Cyprus and Pharos-CY initiatives, creates new prospects for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in our country, the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association – CITEA) says in a press release.
"This development demonstrates that Cyprus can move with speed and determination in strategically important sectors. This should not be the exception but the rule. The same pace of implementation must characterize all initiatives related to innovation, technology, and the digital transformation of the country," it stresses.
CITEA member companies, it adds, which are at the forefront of technological innovation, are expected to leverage these new capabilities to develop advanced applications, new products, and services that will strengthen the competitiveness of the Cypriot economy.
"Cyprus now has the infrastructure in place. It is time to transform it into innovation, extroversion, and real economic value", it concludes.
