Ayia Napa Mayor Yiannis Karousos expects a ‘particularly excellent’ tourism season in the region this summer and has called on tourism-related businesses to do their best to ensure this year’s visitors return.
Based on his municipality’s recent participation in tourism exhibitions in the UK and Russia, Karousos says 20% more British tourists are expected this year along with 50% more Russian visitors, InCyprus reports.
