BG Group has announced that it has taken a 35% holding in Block 12 – situated in Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) – which includes the Aphrodite gas discovery.
According to In Cyprus, an agreement was signed on January 27 with the government at the Energy Ministry.
Energy Minister Yiorgos Lakkotrypis and representatives of Noble Energy International Ltd, Delek Drilling Limited Partnership, Avner Oil Exploration Limited Partnership and BG Cyprus Ltd signed a deal for conferring to the latter a 35% share of their Exploration License at block 12.
