More than 5.5 million overnight stays were recorded in tourist accommodation in Cyprus in July and August 2025, according to data on seasonality in the tourism sector published by Eurostat.
Based on Eurostat’s figures, overnight stays in Cyprus reached 2,627,725 in July and 2,953,148 in August, bringing the total for the two peak months to 5,580,873. High tourist activity was also recorded in September, with 2,484,732 overnight stays, and in October, with 2,382,970, before falling to 859,936 in November and 504,843 in December.
According to Eurostat, in 2025, 31.1% of all overnight stays in tourist accommodation in the European Union took place during the two months with the highest tourist activity. In all member states, these months were July and August.
