However, given the increased passenger traffic and in an effort to avoid delays and inconvenience to passengers, Hermes Airports is also taking a series of actions and measures to serve both passengers and aircraft as quickly as possible.

Actions to avoid delays
Regarding actions to avoid delays, a source at Hermes Airports emphasised to InBusinessNews that the company is making every effort to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the airports, placing particular emphasis on the handling and management of flights.
As they specifically mentioned, through close cooperation with airlines and ground handling providers, sources that may lead to issues are identified in a timely manner and thus immediate corrective measures are taken.
In parallel, the source added, "We are strengthening our operational teams during peak periods to ensure faster service to passengers and aircraft. At the same time, we are calling on our partners at the airports to do the same."
According to the same source, "through the use of technological tools and systems for forecasting and monitoring passenger traffic, we are at all times in a position to know the flow of passengers at every point in the airports and where we need to take measures for their smoother processing."
Furthermore, they underlined, "through the Hermes Airports chatbot service, passengers can have live updates on the status of their flight so that they know if there will be any delays, what their gate is, as well as other useful information that will make their stay at the airport even more pleasant."
Furthermore, the same source pointed out, "we are constantly investing in improving infrastructure and the passenger experience, so as to ensure the quality of the services we provide."
Maria Kouroupi: "August is the best month of all time"
In her statements to InBusinessNews, the Director of Aviation Development, Marketing and Communication of Hermes Airports, Maria Kouroupi, emphasised that "this August is expected to be the best month of all time in terms of passenger traffic."
"The numbers and planning of the airlines primarily demonstrate their confidence in Cyprus," she added, noting that "our efforts are bearing fruit and this is evident from the positive results recorded in terms of our penetration into new markets that encompass this increase in passenger traffic."
According to Kouroupi, "the excellent results confirm the resilience of the destination, despite the challenges we have faced, but they are also a verification of the strategy we have been following all these years for air connectivity."
As she explained, "in order to be able to 'capitalise' on this confidence and take advantage of the ideal situation, it is important to boost demand for the winter season as well."
"The effective promotion of Cyprus requires the partnership of the public and private sectors, with the aim of harmonising a holistic strategy, creating modern and attractive content, as well as the rational use of available resources, in order to strengthen the country's presence in target markets, all year round," Kouroupi concluded.
